RiskStandard was founded in December 2002 by David Murano. With a professional background in international finance, David has been Head of Risk Management for Financial Markets in the Spanish bank Banco de la Pequeña y Mediana Empresa, covering market and credit risk responsibilities. Before arriving in Spain, he developed his career in London, first in Nomura's trading floor, which he joined as a graduate trainee, and later in Mellon-Newton fund management.
He combines robust knowledge in financial theory with successful financial software implementation experience such as dealing with value-at-risk solutions. He specialised in finance in the US as part of a dual degree program from ESADE, the leading Spanish business school, and is an SFA Registered Representative. He is member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
